"Jim Corbett" is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Uttarakhand, and Located on the foothill of Himalayas, the tiger reserve is the first Sanctuary to come under the project of Tiger in 1936. It is located in Nainital district of Uttarakhand. It named after Jim Corbett who played a significant role in its establishment. The sanctuary is surrounded by lush green forest along with sub hill of Himalaya comprising chir, pine,sal and sheesham trees.The population of the tigers are around 160, at this sanctuary, which make this place as a beautiful as one of the favorite place for ecotourism.

Dhikala in Jim Corbett: This is the key administrative body at Jim Corbett national Park. This is one of the biggest grassland of the park and placed in front of the Tourist Complex. While driving in the Chaur tourists can see the wild animals as chital, elephants, raptors, hog deer and different kinds of bird species. Dikhala is developed around 100 years back. At the place there is an old rest house which is a historical; body.

Corbett Wildlife Museum in Jim Corbett: The museum is comprises of heads of animals like tigers and elephants in glass boxes. The museum also places those tigers and animals were killed in fight in past. It also consists of those things that show cases the life of Jim Corbett. Tourist can also buy literature relating to the park and about the wildlife from Dhangarhi shop. Tourist can get the entry into the museum through Dhangarhi Gate.

Garjia Temple in Jim Corbett: There is a small hamlet of Gargia in which the shrine of Garjia is situated. A large piece of rock is located in the middle of the Kosi River, at this place the temple is constituted. This is the Goddess Parvati who also famous by the name of Garjia here. After the discovery of the Idol of the deity the local people constructed the temple of Garjia Devi.

Jim Corbett National Park in Jim Corbett: It has a rich popularity across the country. The main reason of its popularity is the magnificent work performed by the conservationist and the writer Jim Corbett. Jim Corbett was a great writer who is the establisher of the park. This extensive park was developed in the year 1936 and one of the most famous tourist destinations in India. By taking the help of the World Wildlife fund the park was brought under the consideration of aegis of Project Tiger in 1973.

Jeep Safari in Corbett National Park: Jeep Safari is one of the one the most popular activity in the Sanctuary. It is also one of the most secure way to explore the Jungle along with the wildlife in stipulated time frame. The forest has divided into four zones Such as Jhirana (Round the year), Bijrani and Durgadevi (From 1 Oct to 30 June) and itabani (Round the year) there are two safaris that can be taken in a day. The timings are 6 A.M. to 10 A.M. and 2 P.M. to 6 P.M.

Corbett Falls nearby Corbett National Park: Situated at the distance of 3 kilometers from Kaladhungi. You can feel that warm welcome by nature with sound of water. The falls is much similar to the famous Kempty falls in Mussoorie, but it is untouched, and its cool clear water cascading from a height is a beauty worth admiring. It is most beautiful and surrounded by lush greenery. It is must visit place to see.

Elephant Safari in Corbett National Park: Taking an elephant safari is an experience in itself. It is a wonderful and trilling experience at times can be very peaceful. It often provides amazing sightings getting deep into the jungle which cannot be explored by other means of safaris.

How to Reach Jim Corbett

By Air:- There is no airport located in Jim Corbett, the nearest airport is Dehradun which is about 110 kilometer away from the park. It is well connected with all major cities in India.

By Road:- Jim Corbett National Park is located in the town of Ramnagar, Uttarakhand. Ramnagar is well connected via train from New Delhi. From the station taxis are readily available for Jim Corbett National Park.

By Train:- Jim Corbett national park is well connected with all major cities of India by private vehicles. There are no bus routes from other major cities to Corbett. Nearest bus stand is Dhumakot which is 34 kilometers away from Jim Corbett another bus stand is kotdwara it is about 35 kilometers away from the Park. The both bus stands are well connected with all major cities of India.
