Kedarnath Temple in Kedarnath: Is one of the holiest temples for Hindus, which is one of the twelve jyotirlinga. The temple is devoted to lord Shiva. The temple is located at the height of 11,755 feet on the banks of MandakiniRiver,a tributary of Ganga. Due to extreme weather conditions the temple is open only for 6 months from AkshayaTritriya (end of April) to Kartik Purnima (autumn full moon usually comes in November).

Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary in Kedarnath: Located in the district of Chamoli, it is named after the famous Kedarnath temple. Situated on the catchment area of Alaknanda River, this sanctuary is home to temperate forests, which include low and coniferous, alpine and Bugyals.the sanctuary also has a wide variety of fauna as well, which include reptiles, mammals, birds and primates. Black bear, leopard cat, jackal, snow leopard and common leopard are some of the animals that tourists can spot in this sanctuary.

Vasuki Tal in Kedarnath: It is glacial lake situated in the mountains. The Vasuki Lake located at the distance of 6 kilometers from Kedarnath, on the height of 4,135 metres above sea level. The lake is surrounded by beautiful mountain range which offers a stunning view of Himalaya. It is an important place for trekkers.

Chorabari Tal in Kedarnath: Is also known as Gandhi Sarovar is located at a distance of approximately 1 km from Kedarnath. It is believed that the eldest of the Pandavas, Yudhishthira, have departed to heaven from this sarovar.

Shankaracharya Samadhi in Kedarnath: The grave of Adi Guru Shankaracharya, is one of the most popular tourist attractions. Located slightly behind the Kedarnath Temple, it is also one of the most visited places in Kedarnath.

Gaurikund in Kedarnath: The famous pilgrim centres, is located en route to the Kedarnath shrine. Situated at an altitude of 1,982 m, this holy place houses an ancient temple, which is dedicated to Goddess Parvati. There is also a hot water spring located at Gaurikund by the same name. It is believed that a dip in this pond makes a person pure.

Kedarnath Mountain in Kedarnath: The Kedarnath Mountain comprises of two peaks – the Kedarnath Peak and the Kedarnath Dome. It is situated in the western Garhwal Himalayas, 15 km south of Gaumukh, and forms part of the Gangotri mountain range. The two peaks are among the top three tallest peaks on the south side of the Gangotri glacier. The north-west face of the Kedarnath Dome is a popular ski slope.

How to Reach Kedarnath

By Air:- The nearest airport is located in Dehradun which is about 109 Kilometers away from the town. Jolly Grant airport, Dehradun is well connected with all major cities of India.

By Road:- Kedarnath is easily reachable from Gaurikund by trekking which is about 14 kilometers away from Kedarnath. It is well connected with all major cities of North India as well as Uttarakhand.

By Train:- The nearest airport is Risikesh which is about 105 kilometers away from the town but it has only few rail connections, the other nearest and largest railhead is Haridwar which is about 123 Kilometers away from Kedarnath.

Kedarnath is a small place home of the lord shiva, there is limited shops for all tourist, If you get the requirement for basic needs, you can buy from local street shop.
