“Munsiyari” is a little town in Pithoragarh district in Uttarakhand, located at the height of 7,200 feet from sea level, on the foothill of great Himalayan mountain range. It is also called the ‘place with snow'. It lies on the banks of Goriganga River. This is a symbol of heaven for nature lovers. The beautiful Himalayan ranges roll over are all around the area. This Himalayan forest is like a home for different types of birds and animals such as whistling thrush, wagtail and hawk cuckoo, leopard, bear and the musk deer. So, you can also enjoy viewing a pristine flora and fauna during your visit to Munsiyari hill station. The river Goriganga passes through increasing the beauty of the town manifolds.

ThamariKund in Munsiyari: It is a stunningly beautiful lake, confined by alpine and paper trees on all sides. This is the place where one can easily see the MushkDeers. These types of deer are famous for their mushk which is used to produce perfumes.

MaheshwariKund in Munsiyari: The inhabitants of Munsiyari and local people of MaheshwariKund also call it as MehsarKund. MaheshwariKund is a natural lake situated near the region of Munsiyari. The lake is circled by rhododendron shrubs. From Maheshwari Lake, people can enjoy viewing the very picturesque peaks of Panchchuli Mountain.

Birthi Falls in Munsiyari: It is a majestic water fall surrounded by ample of colors. Birthi falls comes down from a height of 126 meters and touches the fields. It is a perfect destination for the visitors to enjoy a cup of tea and lunch as well. The aloofness between the Birthi falls and Munsiyari is about 35 kilo meters. From every corner of the country tourists came here to enjoy their vacation with family every year.

Dar Kot in Munsiyari: Is a hamlet lying at a distance of 6 kilo meters from Munsiyari, stands on the Mad Kot road. At this place people can see the things that are as old as more than 100 years. Here one can see the hundreds years old traditionally designed wooden houses and beautifully crafted windows. Local people of Munsiyari sell handmade shawls of Pashmina and Angora wool. Tourists love to buy blankets made of sheep wool.

Milam Glacier in Munsiyari: The Glacier is emanates from the slope Trishul and Kohli peaks. River Milam originates at the place and finally merges with the Pindari River. The glacier is around 16 km long and located at the south of the Himalayas in the Kumaon region.

Namik Glacier in Munsiyari: Is located in the Nachani Village, on the foot hill of Kumaon Himalayas. It is the main source of The Ram Ganga River. Namik Glacier is also known for various waterfalls along with sulphur springs.

By Air:- The nearest airport is Pantnagar airport, located at the distance of 249 kilometers away from the city. It is a domestic airport which is well connected with all major cities of India.

By Road:- Nearest railway station is Kathgodam, which is located at the distance of 217 kilometers from Munsyari, another nearest railway station is Tanakpur, situated at 218 kilometers from the town. Both railway stations are well connected with all major cities of India.

By Train:- Munsyari is well connected via road to all major cities of India. Regular buses are available from all main cities of North India to Tanakpur, HaldwaniChampavat, Almora and other parts of Uttrakhand.You can easily get the privet cab or sharing taxi to reach there.
